Ironton was established in River North in 1998. It was conceived as a place for artists in all disciplines to have a long-term place to work. Ironton is made up of 15 artist studios, and is unique because of the variety of disciplines; photographers, woodworkers, metal fabricators and sculptors, painters and stone carvers all find their home here. Along with the individual studio spaces Ironton has a shared kitchen space, landscaped garden and an 800 square foot gallery that is open to the arts community. Ironton artists include: Sharon Bankert, Jeff Bludeau, Daniel Brandemuehl, Sharon Feder, John Ferguson, Jill Hadley Hooper, Heidi Jung, Mike Mancarella, Patricia "Murph" Murphy, Camille Roth, Vicki Rottman, Robin Schaefer, Andy Sweet and David Walter.
